Dr. Rita has performed in all major and popular music festivals of India including Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav Pune, Tansen Samaroh Gwalior, Baba Allaudin Khan Sangeet Sammelan Maihar, Abdul Karim Khan Music Festival Miraj, and Uttarpara Sangeet Chakra Kolkata among others.
Dr. Rita Dev trained under Padma Vibhushan Vidhushi Dr. Girija Devi, the legendary Queen of Thumri, for over 25 years. Under her guidance, Dr. Rita carved the beautiful style of the Gwalior Gharana.
